When Margaret joined the nine-week programme, she’d stopped trusting her own balance. “I’d got to the point where I was frightened of the stairs,” she says. “I didn’t tell anyone that, but it was true.”
“I cannot exist without Goodnick. My balance and confidence are completely different now.”
Her coach adjusted every session around her knees and started with the simplest possible movements. Within a few weeks, Margaret noticed she was standing taller, walking further, and — for the first time in years — not thinking about every step on the stairs.
Today, more than a year on, Margaret still trains with her original group. “It’s not just the exercise,” she says. “It’s having someone in your corner who actually checks in.”
